w8t.ai operates w8t coach, an AI weight coaching subscription service used by people in the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Australia and globally.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information. We comply with applicable US state privacy laws, UK GDPR, EU GDPR and Australian Privacy Principles where each applies to you.

You may provide your email address, first name, age, sex, height, weight, target weight, activity level and weight-progress preferences.

When you use the Service, we may generate scan history, weight logs and daily totals, coach insights and weekly summaries, account, subscription and entitlement status, and diagnostic data needed to operate the Service.

Payment details are handled directly by our payment processors. We never see, store or process your card number.

Food and drink photos you choose to scan, and short voice recordings you choose to record, may be sent to approved AI processing providers to produce an editable result. AI data consent before processing is required for Photo and Voice. Barcode numbers are looked up without sending the barcode scan to an AI provider.

We do not collect GPS or precise location. We may use country-level information from your IP address to set currency and units.

• We do not collect racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs or political opinions.

Height, weight and weight-progress data may be considered sensitive health-related personal information under some laws. We use this information only to provide w8t coach features you have chosen to use.

We do not sell sensitive personal information. We do not share sensitive personal information for targeted advertising, behavioral profiling or any cross-context advertising purpose.

You may withdraw consent for sensitive information processing at any time by emailing privacy@mail.w8t.ai. Withdrawal may limit features that rely on this information.

We use your information to provide the Service, including plan calculation, diary tracking, scanner results and coach insights.

We use your information to send transactional emails such as sign-in codes, receipts and account notices.

We send marketing communications only where you have opted in. You may unsubscribe at any time.

We may improve the Service using anonymized or aggregated analytics, comply with legal obligations such as tax record retention, and respond to account, privacy or support requests.

We do not use your information for advertising, behavioral profiling or automated decision-making with legal effects. AI provider data handling is described in the provider section below.

We work with industry-leading service providers to operate w8t coach. Each provider is engaged under a written agreement that requires them to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we direct.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not share your information with data brokers, advertising networks or analytics partners for profiling or targeted advertising.

• Payment processors for web and in-app billing, invoicing and subscription management.
• Cloud infrastructure providers for secure hosting, storage and content delivery.
• Email service providers for transactional and account-related email delivery.
• AI processing providers for processing selected meal or drink photos and short voice recordings to produce editable scanner results.
• Reliability and security tools for error monitoring, abuse prevention and platform security.

When you use Photo or Voice logging and provide consent, w8t coach may share meal photos, meal descriptions, voice recordings or transcriptions with one or more of the following approved third-party AI service providers:

• Anthropic PBC
• Cloudflare, Inc.
• Google LLC
• OpenAI, L.L.C.

These providers may process this information to support food recognition, meal analysis or voice transcription.

We require our approved providers to protect information in accordance with their applicable business or API terms and our data-protection requirements.

We do not send your account credentials, payment details, saved weight, height, age or targets to AI providers as part of Photo or Voice processing.

Nothing is sent until you consent. You may withdraw consent at any time in Settings -> Privacy -> AI Data Consent. Without consent, Photo and Voice AI features are unavailable. Barcode lookup, manual meal entry, Diary, weight tracking and Exercise remain available.

Your information may be processed in the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Australia and other countries where our service providers operate.

When personal information is transferred outside your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and equivalent mechanisms required by your local law.

Retention depends on the data type:

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you, access and receive a copy of your information, correct inaccurate information, delete your information, port your information to another service, opt out of any sale or sharing, limit the use of sensitive personal information, withdraw consent for specific processing and lodge a complaint with a privacy regulator.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@mail.w8t.ai from the email address on your w8t coach account. We will respond within 30 days, or sooner where required by law.

If you reside in the United States, you have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and the purposes for which it is used, access and receive a copy of your personal information, correct inaccurate information, delete your information, opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, limit the use of sensitive personal information, and exercise your rights without discrimination.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To submit a verifiable consumer request, email privacy@mail.w8t.ai with the subject line Privacy request - US. You may also use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

These rights are honored to the extent required under applicable US state privacy laws, including laws covering transparency, data subject rights, sale or sharing opt-out, and limitations on the use of sensitive personal information.

If you are in the United Kingdom or European Union, the legal bases on which we process your personal information are contract, consent, legitimate interests and legal obligation.

• Contract: to provide the Service you have signed up for.
• Consent: for marketing communications and sensitive personal information.
• Legitimate interests: for service reliability, fraud prevention and platform security, balanced against your rights.
• Legal obligation: to meet tax, accounting and legal record-keeping requirements.

If you are in Australia, your information is handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

We use minimal first-party cookies and local storage for authentication and session management, onboarding progress, functional preferences such as units, region and theme, and subscription and entitlement state.

We may use privacy-respecting analytics that do not identify individual users.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, behavioral profiling cookies, third-party advertising tags or device fingerprinting.

w8t coach is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact privacy@mail.w8t.ai and we will delete it.

We protect personal information using industry-standard measures. If a data breach occurs that materially affects you, we will notify you and applicable regulators as required by law.

w8t coach uses AI to estimate calorie and nutrition information from photos and voice logs. Coach guidance is generated from saved app signals in the current version. These results are estimates for general wellness only and do not have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

You can review, edit or reject every AI-generated result before saving it to your diary.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notice before they take effect.
